Battley Marine Ltd is a small, family-run, team of fender specialists initially established, in the 70s, to fill an identified gap in the pneumatic fender market for servicing and repair; so successful was this venture that we were the first fender repair company accredited by Yokohama Worldwide.

We manufacture Batmar Super Sliding Fender, the highly successful outcome of a venture into recycling with the aim of finding a cost effective, environmentally friendly, replacement for wood facings and rubbing strips. This UK manufactured product has been supplied worldwide, in a range of profiles, as a green alternative to tropical hardwood. It is extruded from recycled, high-density polyethylene. This plastic fender cuts and drills similarly to wood and has no need for additional chamfers as it has a natural radius. More importantly, it has a unique, low-friction, sliding quality and unlike wood, it does not split or decay and is totally resistant to marine or freshwater borers.

Battley Marine Ltd continues to offer a comprehensive repair, refurbishment and maintenance service, offering manufacture of new heavy duty nets, both complete and partial, supplied with the client's choice of truck or aircraft tyres: our nets are second to none. Nets can be fitted in our yard, on site or shipped. We can offer repairs to abraded, punctured or torn pneumatic fenders, utilizing filling or vulcanisation, depending on the severity of the damage. Our repair service remains a speciality, made all the more exceptional by our 'no fix, no fee' criteria. We pride ourselves on being able to repair fenders others cannot.

We are currently able to supply a comprehensive range of ship, harbour and canal protection including: heavy duty pneumatic, floating closed-cell foam, inflatable, cone, cell, element, arch, cylindrical, shear, roller, and all shapes and sizes of extruded rubber including D-type and square. We pride ourselves on being able to source, within reason, any fender requirement you may have: new, previously owned, or to hire.
